Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Even though I didn’t have any prior knowledge entering the course, my professor made it extremely easy to understand all of the concepts and formulas and I ended the course with a B.

    Course highlights:

The long journal entries I had to complete after every chapter were the highlights of the course. And I ultimately learned the general meaning of accounting.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I would say to read the chapters before entering the course. Make sure to take notes. And most importantly, study the concepts and formulas because they will appear more than once.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I recommend this professor because she tells you straight up what she expects you to complete for the semester, and motivates you by telling you the hard truth.

    Course highlights:

I actually learned a lot of things in the accounting world. You'll learn the differences of transactions from both perspective of the transaction itself, and about different accounts.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Even if you're good at math take this course seriously! Go to the math lab, and get assistance. The material gradually gets harder, and you need to be prepared for it. Cengage is tough, but you'll get through it. DO NOT wait until last minute to do it because it's impossible. The online component to the course costs $167 I believe

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because you have a helpful teacher, and a good way to learn accounting. I took this class face-paced so half my work was online, the online part is a bit hard but the teacher is always there to help. The teacher makes class a lot easier and gives lots of examples.

    Course highlights:

This course taught me a great quantity if things. I walked in this course not knowing anything about accounting, the teacher was very understanding to things you didn't understand and tried to help as much as possible. I learned how to handle my own money and money with a business.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

To succeed in this course you will need to spend lots of time doing the work. You would have to set out at least 3 days weekly for 3 hours to read the book, look at examples, take two practice assignments, and a test per chapter. I recommend looking at lots of examples, and writing down what you think is important.
