If you are passionate about caring for others, have an interest in expanding your scope of practice in patient care, and can organize your study time wisely this course is for you. If you cannot handle stress or do not like to read your textbooks this might not be a course you want to apply to.
This course has helped to prepare me for further nursing core classes and the NCLEX. The NCLEX questions are not simple multiple choice questions and the exams you take in the program reflect this.

Advice for students:
Read the assigned readings. Take notes in a format that works for you. I personally do not like to write my notes on the powerpoint printouts. I prefer to sketch out the main points of the slides we are working on and fill in information from the lecture into a readable format. Not all test questions come from the powerpoints. Sometimes you can grab what is important to the instructor by taking thorough notes and understand that even though this topic follows the powerpoint the information needed to answer some exam questions are only addressed in class verbally and can be hard to miss reading the text book because of the depth that the book goes into.
