    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

If you are taking this course just to satisfy your LER then I wouldn't recommend it. There is a TON of reading and the exams are pretty hard. It is also a lecture style class. However, I did really enjoy the material because it was a lot about the ethics of environmental science. If you're just trying to get the LER, take ES 100. It is much easier, and you get the same outcome with a boost to your GPA.

    Course highlights:

There was a lot of reading about the ethics of environmental science and climate change. We did several personal journals that made us look introspectively at our own environmental habits. We also learned a lot about the domestic and international laws relating to the environment.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Highlight the readings. It's annoying to do, but it will definitely help you when you're doing the questions.

    | Would recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This class offered great groundwork for the principles taught in later ES classes.

    Course highlights:

I really enjoyed the interactive activities, like the class town hall.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Take notes! It'll definitely benefit you, even if you're not a big note taker.
