Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I definitely recommend this course! Not only is Mr. Ryan a great, enthusiastic teacher, the subject itself is very interesting!

    Course highlights:

I got the opportunity to learn what sociology was all about as well as get a more in depth understanding on societal problems in it's parts and as a whole. I even learned new terms and phrases to things that I did not even know had a name! For example, have you have ever got the feeling of shock and awe when you first entered another country? That has a name, and it's called "culture shock." I never knew that until I took this class. You get to participate in classroom discussions, and learn about the many different cultures that are out there -- cultures and countries you may not have even known existed! For example, Papua New Guinea is a country near Australia. Trust me, you will learn something NEW every day you are in that class.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Don't just take this class for the sake of a requirement, take it because you want to know what sociology is all about. This course will help anyone who enters become more mature and definitely more aware for the better. :)

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

If you really want to expand your mind and broaden your perspective, then this is the class for you! This class helped me see and appreciate the many different viewpoints of the world that I think I would not have gotten if I had not taken this class. Plus, I had an outstanding professor!

    Course highlights:

One of the things I learned were the many different sociological terms; things I didn't even know had a name! I got a more in-depth understanding on the sociological problems amongst us humans such a sexism, racism, and poverty. The highlight of this class is that you will never cease to be amazed on what you learn. It seriously does help expand your mind and broaden your perspective.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Don't just take the class because you need it for your degree, take it because you are also willing to know more and wanting to understand. This class will help you grow as a person mentally. It did for me. :)

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course definitely gave me a more in-depth view of society, culture, and people. It is better to expand your perspective so you not only become more aware of the environment and world around you. I addition, you grow into a better person mentally. :)

    Course highlights:

I knew people live differently when you look at different countries, cultures, and ethnicities, but this course helped me better understand the differences of people's lives in the same country, or better yet, same area! It even gave me a more in-depth view of the sadness of certain problems we still face today such a s sexism, racism, poverty and plenty more.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Don't just take the class for the sake of "I need this for my degree." Take this class with the willingness to understand. There is something to be taught there about humans in a society.
