Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The course equips internet users with knowledge needed for a healthy and secure 'cyber life.'

    Course highlights:

I learnt to 'think' before I 'click' as some e-mail messages are sent to lure users into revealing information that could lead to identity theft. Also, I was surprised to learn that not all hacking are unethical. Some hackers have no intention to steal information or corrupt a system. They just break into a system to help companies discover that their systems are vulnerable. These kind of hackers are called white-hat hackers.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Study ahead of the class. Generate an interest in technology. Do not wait till the end of the semester to act on the semester project.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

My reason for recommending this course is that my Teacher was the most professional teacher in CIS 102 out there. He was very straight forward with what he taught and every time he gave a quiz or test, it would 99% of the time be relevant to what we studied. The material was very easy to understand and learn about. Overall my Professor was great and the environment was too.

    Course highlights:

I learned the basics of computer based science that i was hoping to learn as the outcome of the class. My learning expectations from this class were exceeded by a lot. I learned how to properly understand the more thorough functioning of a computer without any misconception of the material. I also was able to learn specifically about minimal coding and programming requirements. This class really was a help overall.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Just come prepared to learn about computer parts. Make sure Mr. Smith is your teacher as well. He is the most professional teacher for the course. I hope this helps!
