Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I love this course because it taught me about the the specifics of how we, as humans, interact with each other in society and how there's a purpose in every aspect of our lives.

    Course highlights:

It was very interactive and I learned how we develop through our interactions with each other and with society.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure to come to class and listen to the professor's lectures.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This class has its perks when it comes to experiencing society from a perspective outside your comfort zone. I have learned quite a bit about how to describe myself as a person and the whole community around me, which has also helped me adjust to the then-new college lifestyle.

    Course highlights:

The social experiments (if you actually do them) are very awkward and uncomfortable, but sharing the experiences with people and strangers who pass you by is rewarding. Your personal outlook and attention towards peoples' behaviors are refined and heightened.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Read before each quiz or exam. The materials you will be graded on are vocabulary heavy, not to mention writing-intensive. Know how to time yourself when taking a test! Sociology is a very debatable subject, so be careful about content matter and try not to trail off from the main point in any paper!

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I actually took this course in 1992 -- I am a returning, non-traditional student. I am sure my professor is long retired. :)

    Course highlights:

The instructor was superb! She made concepts very easy to understand.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

It was a required prerequisite for me, but I was happy to have taken it. I learned a lot.
