    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course is a great introduction to the natural sciences. It provided a comprehensive approach to the field of biology. It was lecture based, with an overload of information though. That made it difficult to digest, understand, and retain the massive amounts of facts and information on tests and quizzes.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course for me were the sections on anatomy, physiology, and human processes. The lectures were more broken up, and the topic was fascinating. It went far beyond typical anatomy or health courses, combining chemistry into the curriculum.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Get ahead as much as you can. Use the resources they make available to you. Office hours with Roberson were so essential for my success. Especially if you are used to smaller class sizes and more interactive courses (as I was), take advantage of the individualized help sessions. They have two a week just to review as well as LearningDen. Also, review the textbook or slides before you go to lecture and then again tight after. It will help a lot to hear the info multiple times. Don't procrastinate when studying for exams! Break it up into chapters and study as you go. There's too much info to wait until the material has all been covered.
