    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Sometimes I get stuck in an assignment and I can go to your website and read similar articles or papers that help me determine the next step or the best way to proceed with my own assignment. Gives me a good starting point or additional ideas.

The responsibilities of a human resource manager fall into three major areas: staffing, employee compensation and benefits, and defining/designing work. Essentially, the purpose of HRM is to maximize the productivity of an organization by optimizing the effectiveness of its employees

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course not only gave insight into the role of human resources representatives, but also how to treat people with respect and confidence in general society. In my opinion, this way of treating others is common sense however, most people need a lesson in it. I know a lot of people who could really benefit from this course.

    Course highlights:

Primary highlight, human resource personnel are employed not only to protect the organization, but the employee as well. Also, how to address the selection and hiring process every company faces. And what attributes some company’s implement that ultimately cause them to lose employees quickly, creating a high turnover rate.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Read! Every chapter from the text, every optional reading material assigned. There are so many different ideas and examples on how to handle situations in the work environment. Participate in the discussion even if you disagree with someone's idea. If we all agreed on the same points, life would be pretty boring.
