    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Dr. Keiling-Smith was great at explaining the concepts and was willing to spend the extra time to make sure that everything was as clear as it could be.

    Course highlights:

Dissecting in the Lab. I learned that anatomy was not just a picture in a book, but a complex, multi-dimensional matrix.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Read ahead. Trying to understand the lecture topics first and coming in with questions, to me, was the most effective way to learn the topics.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course gives you a wide range of knowledge in order to better prepare you for further human science courses. Even thought I had to complete the course in an eight week semester, it was still a great class to take and I recommend it to anyone wanting to pursue a career in the medical field.

    Course highlights:

One of the biggest highlights from this course was being to understand how many nervous systems your body has and how each one operates by different physical actions you make. Not only do you learn the process of each system, but it helps you see how detrimental each one is for the basic functions the body performs each day.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you really understand the knowledge as you go through the course. Understanding the concepts is going to help you a lot more than trying to memorize everything you are taught. Using online visual resources and any extra study guides will help also.
