Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Informative science w/o lab class. Great professor dedicated to her students. I would choose the class again.

    Course highlights:

The science of health. I learned a lot of new diet tips and tricks from professor & other students. I actually lost 10 pounds during the class by making some real life changes.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Light on readings. At least 2 thorough discussion boards per week. Quizzes are timed and fast paced. Final project is easy. Overall I thought it was a pretty easy A.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The course is well taught and informative. I have had some issues with UMUC teachers in the past being vague and slightly confusing, but she remains by far the most professional, helpful, and inspiring faculty member.

    Course highlights:

Learning the dynamics of nutrition and how your body reacts.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

    1. Ensure you start the weekly readings ahead. 2. Read all instructions thoroughly. 3. Ask for clarity

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Our professor was wonderful. He was great about interacting with students and explaining things, even in an online format. He also went the extra mile to make us learn outside of just reading a textbook and discussing. He gave us articles, videos, etc. to see what we were learning about in a real-world setting.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course were learning how to have a healthy diet in a realistic manner. There were a lot of things lacking in my diet that I didn't realize were missing. I thought I had a pretty healthy diet. This class showed me what I was missing and showed me how to make it up in a way that's practical. It also got me to think more about the health consequences of having a poor, unbalanced diet, and made me realize that the absence of disease does NOT equal healthy!

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Make time to do your reading, because there will be a lot of it. Notes will be incredible helpful, too. Give yourself time to really process the information you're learning. Don't give yourself a small amount of time to do a large amount of work, because you won't retain anything that way.
