    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it teaches you about the status, roles, and experiences of women in contemporary society. It shows the impact of gender and how it has played a role in political, economic, social and cultural issues through a feminist lens. Overall, this course allows you to apply knowledge of local and global issues and debates in women's studies to effect positive change in women's lives.

    Course highlights:

I learned about women's issues in the past and issues that are debated in today's society. An example of issues that are debated today pertains to birth control and abortion. Another thing that I learned about is how ideas of gender have affected areas of academic study, such as biology, psychology, and history.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

In order to succeed in this course you must read all the material that is given to you. Even if some of the articles aren’t necessary to answer the discussion questions for the week, I highly suggest to read them all. You might ask why? The answer is simple. The professor gives you an abundant amount of information at the access of your fingertips, so, use it. Reading everything that is given to you will make you understand the true definition of feminism and how important it was and still is in today’s world.
