    | Would highly recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course covers Cisco devices such as hubs, switches and routers. Most of the work is completed using LabSim outside of the class discussions and writing assignment. Class participation is a big part of this course and the CLI (Command Line Interface) will be used to enter commands needed to view network traffic or edit network information. Configuring the Cisco router through software will also be a task.

    Course highlights:

I learned more about how network traffic works with Cisco devices. Both the configuration through software on the hardware device and which routing protocol to use for connecting the networks. It went into depth about designing network infrastructures so that network traffic can flow efficiently.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

I would recommend already having an understanding and experience with Cisco products and the Command Line Interface. Most of the work is done using the CLI and it can be difficult if a person does not have previous knowledge of the line commands needed to navigate. Do some research on CLI commands and watch any videos that are found online. Make sure to follow the steps from in order as trying to skip ahead would cause plenty of confusion.
