    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Accounting is an important component in running any business. Not only is it great to know for aspiring business owners and mangers of companies but it is helpful to know the principals of accounting to keep a record of your personal assets and expenditures. The knowledge of basic accounting principals are also helpful for a college student looking to better manage their money.

    Course highlights:

The highlight of this course was WileyPlus. WileyPlus is an online book with quizzes, tests, practice homework assignments and learning tools. It really was helpful when it came to studying. I learned how to make and read an income statement and a balance sheet. I also learned about stocks, bonds, stock owners equity, debits, credits, T- accounts and liquidity.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I would advise prospective students to utilize WileyPlus. It is a great study tool. It even provides real-life examples. Sometimes I felt like I was making decisions for my own company. Also, read every chapter thoroughly and complete the practice problems. These were beneficial when studying for tests.
