    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course for any Biology or Nutritional Sciences majors because it is obviously a requirement for us and I would definitely recommend Dr.Koban because he is a PHENOMENAL teacher. You can tell that Dr.Koban loves the work that he does and has little tolerance for students that do not want to learn or take their education further than a bachelors degree. If he sees that you genuinely want to succeed and put in the effort, he is always there to help!

    Course highlights:

Through the course I gained my basic knowledge as well as advanced knowledge of biology. This class also helped me with my Nutrition classes because of the correlating lessons that Dr.Koban provided. The highlights of this course would be Dr.Koban's sense of humor and his ability to use analogies to relate everyday situations to biology. I definitely learned how to expect the unexpected when it comes to learning and how to apply my knowledge to other factors effecting my life.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Try your best no matter how hard the course may seem. Definitely ask questions if you do not understand something because there is no such thing as a bad question. If you are willing to learn, then this professor is willing to help so also go after class to his office for help. I would also recommend taking advantage of the free tutoring services on campus because they help a lot especially when it comes to test time.
