Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I took the Spring Mini Session version of English 1020 Composition and Literature. This means instead of having it for a full semester I had the class the entirety of January, or approximately 3 weeks. Barb Link and Norm Bleakly are amazing professors, and even though it is a fast paced class, the connections i made with my professors and group are unforgettable. This class is not however, for someone with a very restricting and non flexible schedule. You will work hard and be busy almost every day until the end of the class. you must have determination. This is not a class for the faint of heart. For me the class was 11 am to 4 pm on Monday through Thursday.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to do MLA format and how to do this in a easier way without worrying too much about plagiarizing my papers. i learned how to schedule and pace myself, along with proper time management of my workload. the course focuses on Shakespeare one week, poetry for another, and the last week is short stories.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

To succeed in this class you are going to have to have good communication with the group you are in, good communication with the two professors, and you have to do work in advance. There wasn't a lot of homework because the class is so long each day, but that time must be used for the current project at hand, and the one that is due next week. If you procrastinate you will not make it. (Do not call Barbara Link "Professor Link", in your papers or when you talk to her it makes her upset. just call her Barb or Barb Link.).
