    | No strong feelings either way.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

Professor Brannan is not a very thrilling lecturer. I learned the information we were meant to, however it was rather boring.

    Course highlights:

The information I remember most clearly from the course was the impact of the Magna Carta. We spent a great deal of time discussing the lasting impact it has on governments of today as well as its historical significance.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I recommend reading the textbook simultaneously to his discussions to reinforce the information he presents.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course to those, like me, who are trying to juggle high school and college at the same time. The level of intensity this course offered was insane. Being in high school, I had to adapt quickly to the whole "college" level. Even though I might not have loved the class at moments, It was my favorite at the end.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course were very broad. A large portion of history was covered in so little time. Unlike other college courses or high school courses. History, in fact was not just learned, but analyzed to the very point of "why did this happen?" and "what if this did not happen?". Hammurabi's code and the impact of this code was a major portion of the class.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Start the research paper as soon as you pick out your topic. This paper is a large portion of your grade, and can help you understand many of the topics in a more advanced level than you were taught.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I adored this class! Dr. Guidry is a brilliant teacher, he draws in all his students effortlessly. Regardless if you are a history fan or not, you will walk out of his classes loving it. It's story time with Guidry. He understands how students imbibe knowledge and understands how to relate to them on their level.

    Course highlights:

I've taken two other classes by Guidry, all of his classes have shown me how civilizations are a cycle that has it's peaks and has its declines. It has taught me to think critically about how our society works today and how it has worked. The highlights of HST 1010 have consisted of learning about how gladiatorial games works and making gladiatorial teams and competing in a games ourselves.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

That even if you do not like history, Guidry will help you to enjoy it. That there are two big papers that are expected in the year and three exams. It is always a very rewarding feeling to take an exam and know that what you have been taught will be on the exam and no questions that seem unfamiliar, unless you have not studied what he has taught. I have never been good at taking tests but Dr. Guidry's classes have given me a new confidence about taking tests and doing well!
