Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Class is fun and interesting. Even people who aren't art majors can enjoy this course. However, there is still work involved!

    Course highlights:

As a fundamental course for art, you'll learn basic concepts like value, composition, and perspective. These things can be built upon in later courses if you decide to pursue art as a major.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

You'll be assigned a sketchbook that is worth half your grade. Do it. Do NOT put it off until the last minute. I may or may not be speaking from experience here.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I loved this course. It was interesting to learn about how art changed throughout time, and how other cultures influenced each other.

    Course highlights:

My favorite art styles came from the Greeks and Romans. I loved learning about their cultures, as well as how they have influenced our society, even today.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Don't procrastinate the homework - it piles up, and homework is due almost every class, so try not to wait until the night before to get it done. Also, there are two or three big projects to do, and doing those ahead of time allow you to ask questions before they are due (which I highly recommend doing)
