    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would not recommend this course. I found myself confused quite a bit, and I was one of the students who happened to have a (seemingly) solid grasp on the material. I ended up teaching myself a fair amount of the material. I did well on examinations because of this; however, the final exam, I was completely unprepared for because there was material that we hadn't gone over in the class due to time constraints. I would recommend that if you must take this class, ensure that you fully understand the material, not matter how many times it must be explained to you.

    Course highlights:

I believe that I will be able to do standard accounting if it's necessary.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Buy the book, and read it. Study, study, study before exams.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The course helps students gain a good foundation in the field of accounting and because the teacher has personal experiences with working in that field in multiple businesses, he helps enable the student to apply what they learn to the real world.

    Course highlights:

I would consider each lecture a highlight of the course because they helped me learn how valuable accounting was in the world and how big of a role it actually played in everyday life.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Don't limit yourself to what you learn inside of the class. Always read outside of the class and take advantage of the resources you have. Also working with your peers helps a lot too because they may know answers to questions that you have and vice versa.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because knowing basic accounting principles is seemingly vital to anyone, regardless of their career path. Besides that, the professor was very well informed and helpful.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course were learning to adjust balance sheets. I have learned fundamental accounting skills which include being able to differentiate between a credit and debit transaction.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

You need patience, as often times it feels as if what you are doing is simply unreasonable. Ultimately, as everything pieces together, you will gain invaluable knowledge of basic accounting.
