Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Although it is a lot of information for a general education course, it is a good introduction to all the fields of psychology. I would recommend this course to individuals unsure about a major or interested in the psychology field. However, it prepares students for other psych courses at UMBC specifically, so I highly recommend this course. There's a lot of online homework but it's due dates are not on a day-to-day basis.

    Course highlights:

It covered all of the major fields of psychology and focused on many interesting aspects within each field.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you know all of the vocabulary. Make flashcards or something. That'll take you to a VERY high level considering the simplicity of making flashcards and studying them a few times. Definitely takes you a long way when it comes to exams.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it helps to better understand how people behave and work. This course helped me to better communicate and understand others in a fun and exciting way!

    Course highlights:

I learned about the different parts of the brain as well as their functions. I also learned about certain diseases of the brain such as depression which results from having a low amount of serotonin in the brain.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I would advise students to actually put the time and effort into this course as well as to do their best to stay ahead of the work in the class.
