    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this class because (1) It’s required for the degree and (2) the class teaches you a general understanding of networking basics. Even if you don’t become a network administrator, it is always useful to have a base understanding, as many information systems topics work together in some way.

    Course highlights:

You cover networking basics, starting with binary and different network protocols, and move onto fully networked systems. Highlights were the friendly professor that was very willing to explain concepts again during his office hours.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Pretty much treat it like a job. The topics are on the technical side, so you’ll need constant review and self study if you want to remember the details for exams.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

If you are up for a challenge then this class is for you. The professor knows what he is talking about and will go in depths over the topic. If you pay attention in class and are doing your work then getting atleast a solid B is not a problem.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course was that at the end you will get to see how each layer communicates and data are passed around.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure that you are completing all the homeworks and if you have any doubts over the topic do not hesitate to ask professor to go over.
