    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would highly recommend this course with Prof. Miller because the projects and teachings actually build upon each other, and there is a lot of room for creativity and personal interest. The final project is very extensive, but it's built from 2 prior projects and the topic is multi-faceted but entirely the student's choice.

    Course highlights:

There are many different types of technical pieces covered in the textbook, but only the most useful became class projects, so we spent plenty of time on things that mattered without having to dig into things that are less useful. I really enjoyed my final project, which was a 20-page proposal with a 10-minute presentation; because I chose my topic, it was very easy to fill those 20 pages and 10 minutes with something I love.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

As with all courses and projects that allow you to choose your topics, pick topics that you're already very comfortable with but that you can do some additional research on (don't rely solely on what you think you know). You'll also get a lot more out of this class if you're prepared to work well with others and give solid, constructive feedback. This is one class where timing mattered a lot, so pace yourself and don't procrastinate.
