Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I recommend this class because it deals with past and present issues concerning the police. The course also deals with the history of policing and how it has evolved over time.

    Course highlights:

I enjoyed learning about the history of policing. I also enjoyed learning about how laws can cause unexpected problems. For example, prohibition led to people doing illegal things to make, sell, and distribute alcohol. Also, tougher drug laws in the 1970's led to stricter laws and prison overcrowding .

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Take good notes, participate in class, and be open to new ways of looking at things. It is a very interesting class and it cover a wide variety of subjects.
