Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because Dr. Mohan is a very compassionate professor, and a very good one at that. She tries to explain the information in the most understandable manner, and she offers office hours and her email at anytime needed. She wants to make sure each of her students succeeds. Organic chemistry is a very difficult course as we all know, but I actually feel like I understand it and I passed the class with an A-. The material is challenging but with a good professor and good study habits and dedication to the class it wasn't too terrible at all.

    Course highlights:

Because of this class I have finally learned the functional groups that are used in compounds, such as aldehydes, ketones, amides, etc. I have learned how to use IR and NMR spectroscopy to identify compounds and structures of those compounds which was quite interesting, and I have gotten just a much better understanding of chemistry through this course.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

The material is challenging but with a good professor and good study habits and dedication to the class it wasn't too terrible at all. My advice is to make study cards of the functional groups and mechanisms, or anything else that helps you to remember and practice them throughout the course and just stay on top of all the homework and assignments given.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Very rigorous course and not for the faint of heart! If you want to take the course or I need to I'd advise against Baujic as a professor.

    Course highlights:

The practice final was almost identical to actual final.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Go to class and read the book.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I learned a lot, and was able to use the information outside of class.

    Course highlights:

The whole chemistry. We learned various reaction and how they take place. It introduced a different perspective.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Do as much practice problems you can. The more you do, the better you become.
