Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This is the best class I've taken at Ohio State so far. It's no walk in the park, but it's definitely worth the work if you have any interest in music. Even if you're not a music major, History of Rock n Roll is a fantastic class. I've learned so much by taking this class, and Professor Boone really knows what he's talking about. Highly recommend this class if you're looking to expand your knowledge on a very interesting subject.

    Course highlights:

I learned an incredible amount of information on how rock formed. The places, people, and instruments that contributed to the uprise of rock were all elaborated on in this course.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Go to lecture, keep up with the notes, AND DON'T WAIT TILL THE NIGHT BEFORE THE EXAM TO START STUDYING!! Make flashcards throughout the lessons to memorize terms and songs.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend the class because it was enjoyable and fun to learn about the different figures that have shaped rock 'n' roll into what it is. It was a very interesting course and the teacher was very into everything that he discussed during class.

    Course highlights:

During the course, I learned a lot about the different sub genres of rock 'n' roll, the cultural backgrounds that influenced the music, and how the music affected the society.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I would advise the students to make sure they are constantly studying the music assigned and the requirements that they must know about the music. In addition, I would advise them to be really interested in the actual concept of music (i.g. beats, instrumental sounds, etc).
