Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

In today's society it would be more beneficial to learn how to communicate with people from other cultures than to learn the differences between the U.S. and other countries. It is important to know the differences but it is more important to know how to come together and communicate. The class taught very little about how to approach and speak to others but instead described the components of culture.

    Course highlights:

This course brought many aspects of culture to my attention. I did not realize how deeply culture rooted itself in every day life. It also broadened my understanding of people and the differences everyone has. These differences should be celebrated and respected, this course allows students to understand what should be celebrated and how to create harmony without situations unfamiliar to us.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

In order for complete understanding, the chapters of the book should be read by the student. There is only so much a professor can teach in an hour, therefore, the information should be digested before the lesson so that discussion can be more beneficial. Discussion not only helps the student but aids the teacher in teaching the course material. The professor is able to understand the level of curiosity the class feels and the topics the class does not fully understand.
