    | Would highly recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I highly recommend this course because not only will you learn an immense amount of chemistry, but you will also learn how to manage your time as a college student. As a freshman, college is new and sometimes scary. Taking a challenging course like chemistry 1210 helps you to grow as a student and develope new study habits, that are essential for the rest of your college career. After taking this course, I felt confident about taking new courses because I had overcome a challenging class and learned how to be a college student.

    Course highlights:

My favorite part about this course was how rewarding it felt to put in the hard work and see it pay off. Even though it wasn't always easy, knowing that you did well on an exam is the best feeling because you truly understand the information. Another highlight is the professor, Dr. Loza, who wants her students to succeed. Going to her office hours helped me to prepare for her exams and finals. I learned so much information in this class. All the basics of chemistry are covered thoroughly.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

I would tell students to not be afraid of the difficulty of this course. College is all about growing as a student. If you already have a strong background in chemistry, this course may not be difficult at all. Do not fear a course because it may be challenging, instead try to embrace it. Learn from the mistakes that occur along the way and keep going. Go to Dr. Loza for help when needed. Do not be afraid to ask for help because everyone is in the same boat as you.

    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

If you are passionate about chemistry, or science in general, then you should take this course. Professor Clark is entertaining and willing to help with anything. That being said, it is pretty difficult if you have struggled with chemistry in the past!

    Course highlights:

Seeing Dr. Clark perform cool experiments in lecture was entertaining. I learned more in depth things about why chemistry is the way it is compared to what I learned in a high-school level chemistry course.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Read the book and actively study for the tests. Do as many practice problems as possible for test preparation and make sure you understand the concepts deeply.
