    | Would highly recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would highly recommend this course! I constantly find myself referencing my notes from this course when writing papers for courses I am in now or when I am preparing for job interviews. We learned so many valuable concepts that can be applied to other coursework as well as the real work world in positions of PR, management, and more.

    Course highlights:

I learned so much more than I ever imagined learning in Crisis Communication. We learned about current events and crises going on today in the world as well as compared them to similar crises that have occurred in other companies in the past. I learned what to do and not to do in a crisis situation. We studied the Crisis Decision Theory, Target vs. Walmart, the Tylenol crisis, and learned how to execute a debate in front of an audience of 250.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Sign up and stick with it! I was extremely intimidated by the teaching method of my instructor at first and considered dropping. A friend of mine urged me to stay in and I'm so glad I did! Definitely go to Office Hours before the final as for it is cumulative however, half of the questions come from the previous two exams. I went to refresh my mind on the old material and ask my TA questions I had about the new material. I ended up receiving a 98% on the final and finishing the class with an A.
