    | Probably wouldn’t recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

As on online class this was a lot of work, at least reading two 40 page chapters a week and completing concept checks where the answers were not in the book. It was a lot of rote memorization of very detailed concepts with too detailed of questions for the exam for a GE course in my opinion. It took so much time and studying to do well and learn the material. I also didn't like the online book and software we had to use.

    Course highlights:

In this course I learned a lot about having a healthy lifestyle and eating right. This class encouraged me to eat healthier and east more meals at home. It made me aware of how bad my eating habits were and how to improve them. This was the only thing I am probably going to remember from this class.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Try to start studying really early for exams. For the last exam I made quizlet flashcards which really helped me learn the material and was a lot faster than writing hundreds of flashcards by hand.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would not recommend this class because as an online course, it covered boatloads of information each week. We had to learn it all independently from an online book website. It required lots of weekly reading that was very time consuming. Without the readings, there would be no way you could succeed in the class so you definitely had to do them. It was a very difficult course because it was a lot of memorization over a short period of time. However, the information was useful.

    Course highlights:

Through this course I learned specific ways to live a healthier lifestyle by eating healthier and exercising. I learned the specifics on how to plan healthy meals and this class was easily applicable to my own life. It encouraged me to look critically at my own lifestyle so I could improve upon it for the future to positively impact my own health.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Try to avoid taking this class online because that is what I did and it was very difficult and there was a lot of independent learning over tons of new concepts. I think it would be helpful to take this class in person so you can learn all the information from a teacher rather than independently from an online resource. Also, for studying for exams, using Quizet to make flashcards is very helpful as opposed to writing them by hand or by studying a different way.
