    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

General Psychology at Washington College is taught over two semesters by four different professors. While it can be a bit of a challenge to get used to a new professor more often than in another course, it is taught this way in order to have the strongest professor teaching the material at that part in the course. It is great! As a psychology major, it also allows you the opportunity to meet much of the Psychology staff. Prof. Spilich was one of the professors when I took this course and he is amazing.

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot about psychology and its basics. This course covers everything from freud to neuroscience. It is great to take to begin your psychology career or simply for fun and education.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Keep up with the reading and take good notes in class. All the tests are multiple choice, so be prepared to focus on facts and names.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course to anyone who is interesting in major in psychology. I took it my freshmen year and it provided a nice fresher of information that I learned in high school while also expanding on it to make it fit the college environment of in-depth learning.

    Course highlights:

Some of the highlights were the demonstrations that the professor did. This further cemented concepts that he discussed because we were not only able to learn it verbal, but also visual. It was nice that we were a part of the class and not just subjects to be lectured at.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure to take notes during class and to read your textbook. Sometimes, the professor will say something that is not on the slides or in the book that may be important and show up on a test, so its important to pay attention and take notes.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I think everyone should take this course because it allows you to become more open minded in regards to how other people may react to situations. It also opens you up to self reflection.

    Course highlights:

I learned more about myself through this course.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Start studying way before the test because the teacher really test you on your understanding rather than on what you remember.
