Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I recommend this course because it is entertaining and lively, which makes even difficult and sometimes bland topics exciting and easy to learn. Krochmal is an amazing professor is passionate about his job and takes pride in his students successes.

    Course highlights:

In this course I gained an incredible basis for what my next four years are going to reflect. The simple mechanisms within cells and organisms will be reused and reexamined in numerous courses, and a strong base is very important to future success.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

To be successful in this course it is VERY important to study outside of class. Reading the textbook before class to have some background knowledge is extremely helpful, and reviewing the information immediately after class will be imperative to receiving a good grade.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

This course is an introductory course for science majors and includes broad subjects such as chemistry. It gives the fundamentals of life that everyone should learn.

    Course highlights:

We literally learned about the biological components of life. We learned things from photosynthesis in plants to genetics in humans.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Be prepared to stay on track and keep up with knowing each topic, since it's all cumulative. this course is very easy for those who have already taken AP Bio in high school.

    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

If you already have a decent understanding about bio this is the way to go, but if you don't get ready for lots of notes on text book stuff and in class lectures. You would have to pay really close attention or basically reteach yourself everything when you get back to you dorm. There is a mentor session that is really helpful but still some points will need verification. If you don't understand ask questions or get a tutor.

    Course highlights:

This is not going to go through the basics you have the read about the basics in the book. Lectures will only weed out the important information while you will be tested on everything.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

If you are a bio major or is required for major, and you're ready for the tough stuff do it by all means, anyone else. I would not advise taking it for fun.
