Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this class because he knows what he is talking about and you never get lost in the class. After taking that class, you'd feel like you are a young scientist in the making. The course focused on evolutionary mechanisms and biological dimensions of multicellular and unicellular organism and the basics of biology

    Course highlights:

I learned how to think and come up with ideas as to why certain things happened. I learned on broader scale and how to apply it in real life and certain situations with the help of the lab that comes with it

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

In order to success, I would tell students to not to skip the class but rather pay close attention in class. Also, I would suggest student review every powerpoint and notes the same day it was given (later in the evening) so it sticks.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Bio 121 is a general biology course and it gives a good background in the subject. The professor will explain anything you don't understand until you get it, but there isn't too much information that's hard to understand. It can be a lot of memorization at times, but it can be an interesting class especially if you are really interested in biology. Winslow has reflection quizzes and textbook quizzes which are due every week, but they are easy and are usually a grade booster.

    Course highlights:

The course was interesting and gives a background in biology. A lot of topics are covered, so if you don't like one section there's bound to be one that interests you. For biology students, it can be a good way to decide what you could focus in by seeing what is most interesting to you.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Study for the tests and make sure you take all the reflection and textbook quizzes. The quizzes are basically free points, and the tests can be difficult and there are only four including the final exam. Winslow doesn't believe in extra credit so there are no second chances
