Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it contains very interesting topics and there is never a dull moment during the class. It also helps you get an over all understanding of what the crime and justice system is all about.

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot about other peoples views on certain topics. This made the class very interesting and opened up a lot of chances for debates. I also learned about what goes on in a court room and what is necessary to achieve a good argument.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure to always read the chapters assigned to you because those readings will be the topic of discussion during the class time. Don't be afraid to ask questions and volunteer to answer some questions during class.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course was very interesting and taught by a professor who truly cares about his field. The work level was reasonable and not overwhelming.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course were the debates about different court rulings. I learned many thighs, such as how the justice system works.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

You definitely need to go to class and take thorough notes on the lectures. Also doing the weekly assignment out of the text book is a must.

    Pretty easy, overall.

Roderick is an awesome professor, and though it's a fairly easy, entry level course, he gives you a wide variety of information and a good basis for and crime and justice learning path.

    Course highlights:

You learn about the court system, specific laws, precedents, how the justice system really works, and tons more. It's not your by the book class though, Roderick often focuses on the shortcomings of the justice system.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Go into it with an open mind, enjoy the course, and make an effort to learn.
