Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course looks at a certain theme through different literary lenses; that year it was literature and the environment. The format was almost always full-class discussion, with some days of lecture once in a while. Great as a freshman course.

    Course highlights:

It was an English/Lit course but also felt kind of like a philosophy or sociology course because of the environmental theme. Nice crossover there. Loved the interaction of the discussion format, and the professor was demanding but very fair and engaging, just great. The readings were very varied genre- and topic-wise for a class that has to tie them all into a central theme.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Be ready to participate, since discussion is the main aspect of the class. (It's hard when you take it first thing in the morning.)
