Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Good introductory course that covers a wide span of the foundation you need for music. Partially covers history although it is a theory course.

    Course highlights:

Learning to read music in multiple clefs (for different instruments) was helpful.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

There is a lot of listening work, which is active and not passive listening. It is pretty fast-paced so keep up with the assignments.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Highly competent and engaging professor. You will need this credit of course if you pursue a music minor/major, but it is also nice for anyone with a musical hobby.

    Course highlights:

Basic note reading skills, some light music history, basic keyboard skills.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

For anyone coming in without a music background, it will be hard. You can't take it easy because it's music; it's basically learning a new language. For anyone coming in with music background, it will be a breeze.
