    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I loved this course. It was challenging, but very informative. Professor Hake has a quirky teaching style and loves questions and office hour visits.

    Course highlights:

Professor Hake uses lots of models and other teaching tools to help drill the information into your brain in a way that you will be able to recall when you need to.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Take copious notes if that's what works for you and learn each topic completely before moving on because topics pile up and layer onto each other.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course was challenging, but definitely all of the work. Professor Taghian is extremely kind and intelligent and truly wants to see her students succeed. This semester it was co-taught with Professor Chiles. Both professors were amazing. They presented the material in a very organized way and explained it all in great detail. However, they were very clear on what material would be on the exams.

    Course highlights:

This course was very interesting, especially because the professors connected the material to more broad topics. They would take simple biological elements like the cell wall, and would then connect the characteristics of the cell wall to more complicated diseases like cancer. Overall, this course was challenging because the professors really made you think about the material and apply it to new ideas, but this made the course even more interesting. However, if you put in the time, it paid off.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Definietyl a class to take, and if interested in biology this course will be perfect. Be ready to work hard, and I would suggest start studying for tests early and go to office hours.

    | Probably wouldn’t recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

gives the entire 150 student class about 15 seconds to find theirs.

    Course highlights:

Fast talking Yankee, but seems like a nice guy with good sense of humor.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

    Gives "quiz" points for attendance.
