    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This class was hard but looking back it was probably one of the most helpful classes I've taken at Bentley.

    Course highlights:

I learned about what a balance sheet and an income statement are as well as how to create them. I learned how to use a financial calculator and I especially learned to develop stronger time management skills.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Work hard on things but don't stress out too much about it.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

General Business courses are mandatory at Bentley and this will be the first one that incoming students will take. This is a phenomenal course that gives a wide yet in-depth background on accounting and finance.

    Course highlights:

By taking this course I was able to see where my interests were in terms of business. I discovered I enjoyed finance more than accounting but that is certainly not the case for everyone.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

For this class you cannot fall behind by any means. Paying attention in class, taking good notes, and giving your best effort on homework is a necessity to prepare yourself to study well for the exams.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because I feel that it was a great stepping stone to taking college courses and fully allowed me to be immersed in my chosen major, which allowed me to see if it was something that I really wanted to do.

    Course highlights:

The highlight of this course was the group project that allowed for my group to work together as a team and learn about financial research by relying on the knowledge of one another. The project really forced us to get to know one another and identify our strengths to determine which portions of the assignment we should each take on.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I would advise all students taking this course to not be intimidated by the reputation that surrounds this course. While the class is difficult, it is manageable if you use the resources that are available to you and put the time in that the course requires.
