Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The course offers a great general understanding behind evolution and concepts surrounding biodiversity. The material is pretty straight forward, but you do have to put in work.

    Course highlights:

This course is not like the other introductory biology courses at Brandeis. You learn so much about evolution and the history of Darwin but it doesn't feel like you are cramming information into you head. This can mostly be attributed to the professor. He cares so much about the well being of his students and his lectures are always so interesting and capture your attention easily.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

It is a good biology class if it is your first science class or you are taking it as a science requirement. I would say the class is one of the easier biology classes at Brandeis, but that doesn't mean you can blow off studying.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Dr. Morris is an incredibly passionate professor who teaches each lecture clearly and thoroughly. He is always open and happy to answer the students' questions. His class inspired me to pursue a biology major and research over this summer.

    Course highlights:

Dr. Morris would integrate visuals throughout his lectures, such as graphs, timelines and videos to help solidify our understanding of the material.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Ask questions! Dr. Morris is super approachable and friendly. He loves answering students' questions in and outside of class.
