Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would highly recommend this course. It's required for mechanical engineering students, but for electrical and computer it's one of our engineering breadth requirements. It was a moderately challenging course that teaches a lot while still also being a fairly easy class. I think the material helped me see the world in a different way.

    Course highlights:

At the end of the class you will understand the how to do handle objects in equilibrium and also how to calculate the internal forces in the objects. You will also learn about water pressure and how t calculate the distributed loads caused by it.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Do the homework and study for the exams. The exams aren't too hard, but dumb mistakes can cost you a lot of points. I got a B in the class because I forgot how to handle a particular problem on an exam and lost 20 points out of 60. The exam review sessions are terribly helpful, but I would still recommend attending the one by the teachers before an exam.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course taught me how to see the world differently. It covers a lot about trusses and various mechanisms, now I look at them and understand them fundamentally.

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot about various mechanics principles, those that I had seen in passing in previous physics courses but never really clicked. This course focuses specifically on these and helps you understand them at a deeper level.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Focus in class, it will definitely pay off. And spend the time doing the homework problems, they get to be tedious after a while but, come exam time the problems on the exams come almost directly from the homework.
