Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would 100% recommend this course to anyone regardless of major. Learning about mental illness from professor Samuel was riveting and eye-opening every step of the way.

    Course highlights:

A general overview of mental illness, how they're diagnosed, symptoms, and risk factors.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Take it. If you're even remotely on the fence, take this course and take it with Professor Samuel.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would highly recommend this class because psychological disorders are a lot more common than you would think. This class teaches you signs, symptoms, treatments, and the relevance of the disorder. It is very informative and it would even help you recognize if people you are close to may have a disorder. It doesn't mean you can diagnose people but you can get a pretty good idea. the professor is very informative and willing to help you. It was an awesome experience.

    Course highlights:

Mostly this class gave you a general idea of various psychological disorder such as schizophrenia, eating disorders, personality and mood disorders. It taught you the symptoms, onset, and treatment of the disorder.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you attend every lecture. The lectures are not recorded and the professor does not put all the information on the powerpoint. There is no homework in the course so make sure you study the material and know it well. I also recommend taking notes in the course. There are only 2 tests and an optional final. But the two tests are 5 questions and open ended. So make sure you know the material well enough to talk about it, because you never know what the professor will ask about!
