Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This is a very good introductory course in the school of first year engineering. This is the first class that all Purdue engineers will encounter. Be sure to pay attention.

    Course highlights:

Highlights would be the group projects and the diversity assignment. It was required to attend an event on campus or not that will get you to break out of your shell.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

You need to attend class to survive in this course. I would highly recommend get accustomed to communicating with your peers especially seeing as these are the individuals you will be spending your next 3-4 years with.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

Well, this course is a requirement for anyone taking freshman engineering at Purdue, so you do not really have a choice. However, it is really informative and serves as a great intro to classes at Purdue.

    Course highlights:

Learning about the Industrial Roundtable, internships, and how to get involved were immensely useful to adjusting to college life.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

This is more of a seminar versus a true class, so studying is not much of a factor. Just be prepared to get involved and this will be a great way to learn about the opportunities at Purdue!

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

It is a great introduction to just a general area of engineering and looking down the road at the different disciplines.

    Course highlights:

The on hands engagement to the class is very appealing at it includes all other students that are interested in the disciplines of engineering.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

If you are interested in any area of engineering than this class would be very beneficial with other students in engineering.
