Meetings Outside of Class
This class was tough.
I became a member of the American Advertising Federation to compete in the National Student Advertising Competition, got real world experience that yielded more portfolio work than I have ever gained from any class. I loved getting to work in teams in what felt like an advertising agency, rather than a classroom - no textbooks/readings/papers.
I got to work extensively in teams, challenged myself more than I ever thought possible, and strengthened my communication skills. I learned about public speaking, research/analytics, tactics, social media marketing, and what goes into a successful advertising campaign.

Advice for students:
Work together, and make the most of meetings. Don't be afraid to do what hasn't been done before, and always try your best, because this project can be a major contribution to your portfolio. This class focuses on taking you and your classmates unique talents and bringing them to the table to create the best possible campaign for a real company.
