    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Ths course taught me the skills needed to develop a reaction scheme for the synthesis of a molecule. Professor Linton continually pushed me to ask "why" a certain step in a reaction scheme would/would not work. He pushed me to be a better student in all aspects of my achaemic endevours, not only in chemistry.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course are the development of a students ability to synthesize a molecule in a novel fashion, in addition to the ability to decipher a molecule from a NMR spectra. Beyond the normal topics covered in an organic chemistry 2 class, Professor Linton always provides examples on how the reactions being studied in class can be used to synthesize molecules students encounter in everyday life, such as aspirin.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

If you are confused by the material in class go to his office hours, he does an excellent job of leading you to the answer of your own question.
