    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would definitely recommend this course to anyone who is serious about entering a field in the health care industry! It teaches you a lot about the human body and helps you to understand how, and why everything in the body functions the way that it does. Donna was a great teacher who really wanted you to learn the material. She was very focused and always gave great lectures. She included great notes for the lecture as well to summarize the material from the text book. I would take a course from her again if I could.

    Course highlights:

I learned so much from taking this course. I learned all about the different body systems and how each one functions. Besides how each body system functions on its own, I also learned how the body systems function together which is very important to know for health care. You learn everything from tissue types and what certain ones are composed of, to the nervous system and its different parts (CNS, PNS), and all the way to my favorite system; The Immune System!

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Be sure to make flashcards as they will help tremendously!

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would highly recommend this course! Donna Mastrionni is a great instructor and she really knows the material that she is teaching. She makes learning fun by having us participate in case studies and group activities. This course is also great for anyone who is looking to get into the healthcare field. It teaches you about the human body and what is going on inside so that you have a better understand of yourself and others.

    Course highlights:

I gained a lot of knowledge about how the human body works. I learned about the heart, blood vessels, lymphatic system, and immune system so far. My favorite subject by far is the immune system. We learned about how important different cells are in your body when it comes to triggering an immune response. I learned that without your immune system, you would be very prone to serious infection and possibly even death. It was also interesting learning about the heart and blood vessels and how important they are in the body.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

In order to succeed in this course you really need to dedicate a lot of your time to it. Make sure you keep up with each chapter and read the book in order to familiarize yourself with the material after attending lecture, or before lecture. You also really need to find a study habit that works for you. I learn the material best by making notecards from the lecture notes and make sure that I know all of them before taking an exam. Lab is also very important. So make sure you spend a lot of time learning the material.
