Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

A great introductory course. We dipped into several different aspects of nanotechnology, which was really fascinating. We talked about really interesting things that are at the forefront of research that is going on today.

    Course highlights:

You learn how to make nano-scale materials and how to image them. You also focus on some specific structures at the nano-scale, including quantum dots, carbon nano-tubes, and transistors in computers.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Actually try and understand what you are doing in the lab. Yes, you can perform all the steps in the lab manual and get the results, but really try to figure out what is going on. The labs are really helpful if you do this.
