Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The professor makes it easy to understand but the class is big so it's hard to get the personal touch.

You learn about atoms, molecules, and basic chemistry principles.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Attendance isn't mandatory but you need to go to class to understand the material.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Dr Szulczewski is an extremely intelligent man. He explains everything very clearly and always stops for questions. His lectures were more like discussions. I enjoyed his teaching technique, too. With his lectures he would always implement some sort of visual representation of the material which made his class easier to follow.

    Course highlights:

Chemistry is mainly conceptual. However, Dr. S primarily teaches the material using mathematics. Basically, the class was seventy percent math. If your algebra skills are not sharp, this course is where they will be sharpened.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Always do the homework. Although the homework grade is very minute, the homework is the gateway to understanding all the material and acing the exams. Because the exams are mainly based off of math and ability to get a numerical answer, practicing doing the different types of problems is key to passing the class.
