    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

It is a required class so if you're a business student you have to take it. The work is not really that difficult, just very time consuming. Participation is required and I am pretty sure this is true for any professor you take. If you take Houston, he gives out participation as a group grade, it's 5 points for non-case days and 10 points for case days. If you are called and say you do not have it, he takes a point away for everyone. Also with Houston there are 2 exams and he really doesn't give a study guide and it's short answer instead of multiple choice like I heard other professors do.

    Course highlights:

You learn how to analyze an industry and individual company very well.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Definitely read the cases and be prepared to discuss them. For written cases, do not wait until the day before. I honestly suggest started a week ahead if you can. Go to office hours and have your case looked over before turning it in.

    | Would recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Houston speaks more than to just business. He really instills wisdom into his students. While, yes, he does expect your full attention in class, it is completely for the benefit for the class.

    Course highlights:

How to complete a business analysis case for any company ever.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

It is a time commitment, but it is not terribly hard if you put the time in.
