    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Though it is a difficult course, Dr. Johnson really cares about his students and is always enthusiastic to help students who reach out to him. He also answers questions well in class and explains things in a very clear way and at a pace that students can follow.

    Course highlights:

The biggest reward of this course was getting back good grades on hard tests that I put a lot of time and effort into studying for. I learned a lot about reaching out to professors and available help (there are free tutors available several times a week) in order to succeed.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Seek help often. Even if you understand what you are doing, going in to tutoring and office hours to make sure you are on the right track will be very beneficial.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The professor uses good examples and explains the material in a good way.

    Course highlights:

You learn about financial accounting and it's more in depth than the basic stuff. You learn about GAAP and IFRS.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Go to class because attendance is mandatory. You must do the homework and study extensively for exams.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Don't blame the teacher for the class being hard - the material you learn is HARD. But Dr. Johnson is one of the greatest professors I have ever sat under. You will learn so much and you will struggle and cry and be stressed out but it will be worth it. There are learnsmarts due twice a week and homework due on Saturday, but even though there is SO MUCH WORK it will prepare you for the tests and give you the skills to make an A.

    Course highlights:

This course is just a more in depth AC 210 course. You learn more about the financial statements and financial reporting. There aren't really any great "highlights," but this class is required for accounting majors. If you aren't an accounting major, DO NOT TAKE IT. You will not make an A and you will not enjoy it. If you are an accounting major, work hard and you can make an A!

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

No matter which professor you take, it is going to be hard. Johnson is an amazing professor. Take him. Take him. Take him. You will learn so much and he will prepare you for not only the tests in this class, but the CPA exam and life.
