    | Would recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This is a mandatory course for Civil Engineering majors, but I would recommend this teacher because he was always available for help, explained things well, and made the course challenging but not unbearably hard.

    Course highlights:

This course taught me to analyze specific materials for construction engineering, and gave me real life experience with concrete, wood, and other materials (through the lab). It was a valuable experience, and is applicable to many jobs that a civil engineer would have.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Review the material extensively before the tests, and make sure that you've gone over examples worked in class and homework. Also be sure to memorize the properties associated with each specific material covered on the tests, those will be emphasized more than everything else.
