Not too easy. Not too difficult.

The class was very interesting, especially for a history lover. It was interesting to see history from the aftermath of the Civil War.

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Attendance at the sections is mandatory and going to lectures was very helpful.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This class is probably the best choice for the history requirement. Dr. Elmore is an extremely cool professor, and he's clearly passionate about the subject.

    Course highlights:

Dr. Elmore always began class by playing a song from the era that would be discussed. Not many professors take the time to do fun things like that. What also stood out was that he always told us facts that most basic history courses in high school don't touch on. It was like getting the inside scoop.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

As great as this class was, I recommend going to your section/lab every Friday or Monday. Your T.A. will take attendance and if he or she likes you and sees you participate in discussions and have great attendance, he or she will most likely grade your essays and exams more leniently. Also, study hard for the midterm and the final. They're not as easy as they seem to be. There's only about 5 or 6 assignments the entire course, so they count for a lot.
