Course Overview:
Dr. Dixon is a fantastic professor that tries his best to ensure that students are understanding the concepts. Going to his office hours are incredibly helpful.
Course highlights:
This course is an introduction to group and ring theory, so students get a deeper understanding for the different kinds of numbers and how they interact with each other. Students learn about the requirements for what groups and rings are and how to apply. The course is proof-based so there are very little computational problems on the test.

Advice for students:
For pure math students, this is a great course at understanding the underpinnings of math concepts. This class is also helpful for secondary math education teachers who are looking for a deeper understanding of math principles to better assist future students
